The art? Sure.
The people? Absolutely.

Hi. My name’s DeAnthony and all my life I have been “the guy who can do art stuff.” The neighbor who can draw. The friend that was in the band. The person you ask when you want your home to “feel like me.”

Turns out, I’ve gotten pretty good at it and it’s something I really enjoy. The art? Sure. Helping people make their visions come to life—absolutely. That’s the good stuff.

It’s a strange thing, putting your work on a website and letting it introduce you. There’s so much I could tell you about each piece. What I thought it would be. What it became. The thing I got stuck on that now seems painfully obvious. The small decision I’m still a little too pleased with.

But you get to look at it and have your own experience. I like that. I’m also trying to resist standing over your shoulder explaining everything, which you should know is an act of considerable restraint.

I care about what I make. Enough to question it, change my mind, and stay with a problem past the point where it stops being charming. I’m learning when to trust myself, too. There are things here I’m proud of without needing to qualify that sentence.

I hope something catches your attention. Makes you linger. Gives you an idea I wouldn’t have had.
